Anxiety and Stress

What is anxiety and stress?

Have you ever had a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome. Do you feel it in your gut, does your heart begin to race, do you get shortness of breath and an inability to control the overwhelming range of emotions you are experiencing?  Anxiety comes in many forms and can be crippling in your daily life.

Anxiety manifests due to external life stressors, unresolved issues from childhood or from a triggering situation when we learned negative associations. Life is not always smooth sailing but learning the correct coping responses will lead to a life free of anxiety and lead to a higher quality of life.  In an ever-busy and overwhelming world, it is important to seek help and develop ways to live a more fulfilled life so that you can focus on the things that really matter to you.

Why is the combination of Clinical Hypnotherapy combined with CBT ( Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)  so powerful?

Originally developed by Albert Ellis and Dr. Aaron Beck in the 1960’s, CBT is an extremely well evidenced and short-term therapy designed to manage stress, difficult relationships, grief, Post-Traumatic Stress and other challenges.

Hypnotherapy allows you to deep dive into your subconscious and work on negative associations at a deeper level and ultimately turn these negative associations in to positive ones. As the client you will learn how to “switch” from the unhelpful-negative chain of automatic thoughts onto a positive-helpful sequence of thoughts.

The combination of Clinical hypnotherapy and CBT is an evidenced-based approach to resolving problems at a deeper level. It is exceptionally powerful and I take a unique holistic approach to treatment.
